Purpose of the position

  • Accounting auditing and internal control.

Main activities and responsibilities

  • Closely work with the accounting team and implement processes ensuring the correct and rigorous accounting treatment of operations in compliance with BE GAAP and legal requirements
  • Reviews accounting records to ensure the correct cost and revenue allocation with accurate analytical details
  • Supervise the month-end close and year-end close processes including Annual Accounts and Audit
  • Prepare the monthly financial reporting for Shareholders and Management
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls
  • Support the Head of Business Control in
    • Monitoring the performance of the company by business unit, by aircraft, by client, etc.
    • Participating in performance reviews with the head of departments
    • Participating in the budgeting and forecasting processes
    • Preparing the cash forecast
    • Preparing timely KPIs and ad hoc analysis
    • Preparing investment appraisals (CapEx)

Requirements and qualifications

  • University degree in Business Economics or Finance.
  • Strong financial background combined with operational experience.
  • Good knowledge of accounting law and principles.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Audit or Financial Control.
  • Thorough understanding of Finance processes and activities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (other EU language are advantages).
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Ability to prioritise and be proactive.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, stress resistant.
  • Analytical skills, creative thinking, problem solving and flexibility.
